Sports Fest - Paul's Blog

Hey blog readers,

a quick little blog.....

Phone call with a twist...

Doing what I do means that I spend rather a lot of my time on the phone, be it me phoning to talk to a charity, responding to an enquiry or anything else experience related! Occasionally, I get a phone call with a little twist and this one I thought I’d share with you.

Last week, I was busy doing some work on the website when the phone rang. I was somewhat surprised to be told that it was someone from the British Paralympics Association! Now, I’m not sure about you, but I was pretty surprised and pleased to be receiving a phone call from someone at the BPA, after all, it's normally me phoning organisations like BPA, not the other way around.

Tash from the BPA explained a little to me about the upcoming Sports Fest event running on the 26th and 27th April and asked if I could help. Naturally, my response was "Of course, no problem", after all, I love sports of any kind and it was after all the BPA!

So what did I agree to?

In essence, the request was relatively straight forward. The BPA had seen that we are pretty active when it comes to communicating and asked if we could spread the good word about Sports Fest! I was clearly not firing on all cylinders as such a request would normally have resulted in me negotiating a similar gesture in return! That said, I am a firm believer in "what goes around comes around", so I am sure that at some point, our gesture will be returned in some way shape or form!
