For your River Thames speedboat trip you will need to make your way to the boarding pier, conveniently located no more than five minutes from the nearest London Underground station.
You will be greeted by a member of the boarding team who will sign you in and fit you up with wet-weather gear (if required) and a self-inflating life jacket.
You will be helped aboard the 12-seater RIB speedboat where you can settle into your seat ready for the launch. After a brief run through of safety procedures, your tour begins! Your tour guide will provide an engaging commentary as you cruise down the River Thames for approximately 20 minutes, taking in all the wonderful sights.
Then, the exhilarating part of the activity begins as the speedboat’s skipper zooms along the River Thames, cutting through the wake of other boats and making sure you experience a thrilling journey.
You’ll return to the pier where you will disembark and be on your way to enjoy everything that London has to offer.
How long does it take?

Due to the location of this activity, there is no dedicated parking, disabled or otherwise. There are public car parks around the area, a short walk from the pier.
Disabled toilet facilities can be found near the pier, about 2-3 minutes walk away. Details will be provided upon purchase of this activity.
The boarding pier is located in the heart of London, five minutes’ walk from two London Underground stations. Due to the busy nature of central London, we would recommend anyone who is unfamiliar with the city to bring a carer, friend or family member to assist with negotiating the human traffic!
The riverside is a well-maintained paved area, with a lot of street entertainers around, so it can be busy at times.
The boarding pier consists of a series of floating ramps, completely accessible to wheelchair users and wide enough for two wheel chairs side-by-side.
The boarding ramps have handle rails all the way along, right to the speedboat, to aid those who need some extra stability.
It is possible to get right next to the speedboat in a wheelchair, making the transfer from wheelchair to speedboat as easy as possible.
Guide dog owners will need to leave their dog secured at the boarding gate with the boarding team. Wheelchair storage is also available.
The team is experienced in working with people with disabilities. All team members are helpful, understanding and patient. They will do everything they can to ensure you have a fantastic time!
This Gift Experience is suitable for people with the following disabilities:
- Hard of hearing / deaf

* Please note: the ride is a bumpy one and it is essential therefore that customers are able to hold on to the grab-rail in front of them with at least one hand while the speedboat is travelling at speed.
