Imagine the adrenaline rush of being hoisted 400ft in the air and then just... jumping. Step into your jump cage and enjoy the amazing view as you rise up to the 400ft jump height. Then it’s 3,2,1… BUNGEE!

This 400ft Bungee Jump is totally unique, it takes place over a water filled quarry, bungee jump thrill seekers will rise 300ft on the jump platform and will plunge 400ft down into the quarry, totally amazing!

The 400ft Bungee Jump activity is one of the most adrenalin inducing and is the highest Bungee Jump in the UK! Perhaps you’d even like to try the FAB bungee – one jump forwards and one jump backwards!

We also offer the option of doing your bungee jump in tandem with a friend or loved one – if you can find anyone brave enough to join you!

If the 400ft Bungee Jump sounds a little to high, or if you're looking for a Bungee Jump closer to home, then check out our 300ft Bungee Jump or 160ft Bungee Jump.

Note: This is a special event and only happens one weekend a year!

400ft Bungee Jump Dates

The 400ft Bungee Jump is scheduled for Saturday 24th, Sunday 25th & Monday 26th August 2019. Hurry to secure a place on the highest bungee jump in the UK!

On the Day

A member of the experienced Bungee Jump team will be there to welcome you and sign you in. To ensure your safety during the Bungee Jump, you will be weighed. Then it’s time to join the queue, watching other bungee jumpers return from their activity glowing and high on adrenaline!

You’ll be called up and after a second weight check to ensure you’re given the correct equipment, you’ll be harnessed up and given your bungee rope. Then it’s time to step aboard the jump cage and be hoisted 400ft into the air. On the way up, your Jump Master will explain exactly what will happen and answer any questions you may have. Then it’s the moment of truth: the gates open, you assume your position and it’s time to leap!

Afterwards the team will guide you in and take you out of your harness. You’ll get a certificate and, if you like, you can buy a photo or video as a memento of your achievement.

Note: For people with loss of leg or legs, a chest harness will be used as opposed to the traditional ankle harness. This will mean you are jumping feet first as opposed to head first. The team are fantastic and are considerate of people’s disabilities, but be aware that there may be elements of manhandling required in order to get you weighed and into the harness.

If you use a chest harness to jump, unfortunately, you cannot do a tandem Bungee Jump.

Need to know

Is it safe?
Yes – however terrifying it feels! There are multiple safety checks and the Bungee jump team is very experienced.

How long does it take?
Please allow two hours for the whole activity. (It normally takes one hour).

When can I try it?
The 400ft Bungee Jump Experience is a special event, only oeekend a year. Please give us a call for dates.

What should I wear/bring?
All safety equipment is provided. Please just wear sensible clothes. All belongings and jewellery will have to be left on the ground before you jump. (Bear in mind you’ll be hanging upside down, so skirts and loose fitting tops may not be ideal!).

Can I bring a friend or carer?
If your friend is brave enough, you can do a tandem jump where you are harnessed together. Simply select the tandem bungee jump when making your purchase.

If your friends don’t fancy that, they are welcome to come along and watch at no charge. If you need a carer, your carer is welcome to go up in the jump cage with you and watch from 300ft as you take the plunge! For more information about carers, please see our Questions and Answers page.

  • Please don’t wear boots. If you do, these must be removed before jumping.
  • This activity is suitable for anyone over 14 years of age, but under 18s will need their parent or guardian to sign a consent form.
  • If you are over 50, we will require a letter from your doctor saying you’re fit and well enough to jump.
  • We would recommend seeking advice from a doctor before jumping if you are affected by any of the following medical conditions:
High Blood Pressure, Heart Conditions, Epilepsy, Dizziness or Asthma.
  • High winds and thunder storms can prevent this experience from going ahead.
  • This activity is not suitable for pregnant women

The 400ft Bungee Jump operates on the edge of a quarry, as such, the terrain is of a solid and stoney make up. The terrain is flat and undulating, wheelchair users may find it a little hard going. That said, the jump site is 40 meters at most from the furthest car parking space.

There is no dedicated disabled parking at this location, however, a car park attendant mans the entrance to the car park, therefore if you do require a car parking space wide enough to fully open doors, the car park attendant will ensure you get a suitable parking space.

There are disabled toilets available approx 50 meters from the jump site along with a licensed bar and restaurant/cafe.

If you are visually impaired and arriving alone, a member of the team will be more than happy to help with guiding you from the Restaurant/car park. Just call on arrival and someone will come and meet you.

There is music playing at the site, so if you are hard of hearing, please make the team aware and they will do what is necessary whilst maintaining an atmosphere for all customers.

The staff at the event will be happy to look after a guide dog whilst you take your jump, just let a member of the team know. There are grass areas around the site should you need to "spend" a guide dog.

Who can do this?

The 400ft Bungee Jump Gift experience is suitable for people with the following disabilities:

  • Hard of hearing/Deaf
  • Restricted – Arm
  • Restricted - Leg
  • Visually Impaired

If your disability is not mentioned here but you’re interested in trying the 400ft Bungee Jump, please do give us a call as we may well be able to accommodate other disabilities.
